Creative clay learning center
The owners, Shell Poust and Brian Tanner, have been serving the ceramic community in Sacramento for over 35 years. The pair first managed Avanty Ceramics for 10 years, then in 1988, they left Avanty and formed Alpha Ceramic Supplies, Inc.
Alpha Ceramic Supplies changed their brick and mortar store name to Alpha Fired Arts 10 years ago to become a "Creative Clay Learning Center". Alpha Fired Arts now offers sculpture workshops with Tony Natsoulas and beginning pottery classes held through the Learning Exchange. Alpha has after school clay classes for kids. They are currently building a large clay studio called the "Art Ark" for special group clay events. Monthly studio memberships are available that offer a well equipped clay studio and kilns for firing your creations.
