Godspell is a musical, composed by Stephen Schwartz with the spoken parts by John-Michael Tebelak. It opened off Broadway on May 17, 1971, and has played in various touring companies and revivals many times since, including a 2011 revival which played on Broadway from October 13, 2011, to June 24, 2012. Several cast albums have been released over the years and one of its songs, "Day by Day" from the original cast album, reached #13 on the Billboard pop singles chart in the summer of 1972.
The structure of the musical is that of a series of parables, that are interspersed with a variety of modern music set primarily to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ treated briefly near the end of the performance.

The 5th Annual Squaw Valley Kids Adventure Games features a kid sized adventure race where teams of two navigate a ‘natural terrain’ inspired obstacle course. Kids can expect mountain biking, hiking, zip-lines, a Tarzan rope swing, giant Slip-n-Slide, tubing, cargo nets, mud pits and more.
This is a fun and confidence building outdoor experience for kids ages 6-14, and a great day out for all the family...spectators are encouraged!
Are your children between the ages of 6 – 12 ready to complete a unique course of of sports like no other? The Youth Challenge Course (YCC) is a 1-mile obstacle course within Elk Grove Park that contains 7 unique sports challenges created and hosted by community organizations. Whether gymnastics, volleyball, or cheer, there will be plenty of fun in store for them.

Cinemark Theatres offers a summer movie program for kids that includes ten weeks of popular G or PG movies for kids. The cost is $1 per person per movie at the door the morning of the program. All aboard the California State Railroad Museum’s popular excursion railroad — the Sacramento Southern Railroad. 2018 marks the 35th consecutive season the excursion trains have been operating in Old Sacramento. Train rides include closed coach cars, open-air gondolas and a first-class observation car pulled by either Granite Rock No. 10 steam locomotive or one of our vintage diesel locomotives from the Museum’s collection.

Join Us for the 5th annual Lunar Lunacy Ride. This fun ride is a signature Sacramento event benefiting local foster youth via CASA Sacramento's Making Memories program. Ride your bike under the moonlight on a 6-mile closed course through Downtown Sacramento. Light up your bike, wear a costume and bring the fun with you!
Festival — Enjoy the pre & post ride festival including live music, food trucks, bounce house, vendor booths, beer garden by Lost Coast Brewing, “Best Lit-Up Bike” and “Best Team” contests, giant jenga and teeter totter, bike rodeo, face painting, bowling alley and more!
Course — 6-mile fully closed course. Sights along the ride include the Capitol, Sacramento River, Old Sac, Raley Field, Crocker Art Museum, the Railyards and Golden 1 Center.
Teams — You can create a new team or join an existing team. Teams must have a minimum of 4 riders and the cost is $35/rider. As part of being a team, each member will receive a custom t-shirt with team name and can compete in the “Best Team” contest the night of the ride.
Light Up Swag — Lights for your bike will be available for purchase at the pre-ride festival and/or at Packet Pickup @ REI the day before the ride.

Join an afternoon of painting fun for everyone! This special Paint Nite experience led by a local artist is open to painters ages 6 and up. All painting supplies and instruction are included, and the restaurant will have food and drinks available for purchase if you want to add some treats on to your experience.
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!! TeamNorCal and the River Cats have joined forces again for the new season and are bringing you more fun than ever!! Paint, purchase food and drink from the concession, and enjoy the game afterward at the River Cats Stadium. Additionally, enjoy themed fireworks shows after every Saturday game.
