The Sacramento River Cats will host their annual Mommy & Me Day (weather permitting) at Raley Field. Following the success of previous Mommy & Me Days, this non-ticketed, free event is open to children ages 6-and-under and their parents. There will be no baseball game on this date. Children will enjoy a variety to activities on the outfield of Raley Field including bounce houses, catch on the field, arts and crafts and much more!
Additional items will include: Free Parking (it's strongly advised that strollers should be left in the car as there will be no stroller access on field) Variety of vendors from the community Special appearance by Dinger, the official mascot of the River Cats
Kids Day at the Capitol will take place on the west lawn of the California State Capitol on Thursday, April 19 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
The Office of Child Abuse Prevention and The Child Abuse Prevention Center proudly partner to host Kids Day at the Capitol. This will be a fun-filled, educational event with a lot of free activities for kids. The event will include guest speakers, performances and various activities for youth and children. Numerous statewide public agencies and their partnering organizations will host individual booths providing information about programs, services and resources that strengthen families. More than 1,000 attendees from across the state are expected: parents, teachers, legislators, prevention advocates, business community members and most importantly, California’s kids!
Here are some of the activities that are lined up for this amazing day! There will be a variety of demonstrations such as Zumba Demo, Kickboxing Demo, Yoga Demo as well as Kids Art Contest Awards and Parent Leadership Awards. The kids will have hands on activities like a Pinwheel Craft Station, a Coloring Station, and entertainment with a Photo Booth, DJ, Face Painting, Balloon Artist, Fun Characters and Food Trucks!

Celebrate FEAT's 25th Anniversary at the fifth annual FEAT WALK to be held Saturday, APRIL 21, 2018 at Maidu Community Park during National Autism Awareness Month. Although our public open days are normally on the second Saturday of the month, for April, we will be celebrating Earth Day, so the Koobs Nature Area will be open to the public on Saturday, April 21st, from 10am-2pm. This is a wonderful event in the Koobs Nature Area. Multiple organizations come out - such as Sacramento Audubon, Boy Scout Troop 55, Girl Scout Troop 3191, and more - and have tables with information and activities for kids and adults. Because this is our Earth Day celebration, we will also have some snacks.
This wonderful natural treasure in the heart of Carmichael is run and maintained by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael and is free to the public.
Bring the family out for a birding and nature walk led by a Naturalist and our special guest guides from the Sacramento Audubon Society. Birdwatchers of all levels welcomed. Make sure to bring your binoculars, or we can loan you a pair!

The bike park was created to provide a place for tots and youth to have a safe area to learn how to ride their bikes and practice things like balance, coordination, and overall improving their bike riding skills. The bike park features various tracks, tunnels, and obstacles in a round-about course located near the baseball fields of Phoenix Park.
This new feature will be especially beneficial for the families of our community who participate in other programs that take place at Phoenix Park, such as Little League Baseball and Soccer, to offer additional activities for their children. The Bike Park will be open to all, and will feature a small shaded area, drinking fountain, and benches. The construction and completion of the Phoenix Park Bike Park was made possible by AMR (American Ramp Company) and the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District.

This event, formerly "Celebrate the Earth Festival" under the management of the City of Roseville, will this year celebrate Mother Earth, with a focus on the ARTS, LIBRARIES, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, CULTURE and the ENVIRONMENT.

Whole Day Event
The Sacramento River Cats will host Military Family Picnic, presented by Wells Fargo, on Sunday, April 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Raley Field. This free event is open to all military families (active duty or not) as a way for the Sacramento-area community to show appreciation to those who serve. It's an exclusive opportunity for military families to enjoy a fun picnic at Raley Field. Families will enjoy a variety of activities around Raley Field including inflatable structures, arts and crafts, and catch in the outfield. A petting zoo, face painters, and a balloon artist will also be available. There will be no baseball game on this date.

The animals will join in on the fun as they receive special Star Wars themed enrichment items throughout the day.
