The day begins with a keynote session featuring Leonard Abbeduto, PhD, Randi J. Hagerman, MD, Julie B. Schweitzer, PhD, and Christine Wu Nordahl, PhD. This panel of experts from the UC Davis MIND Institute who will provide an update on some of the most current research in neurodevelopmental disabilities taking place at the UC Davis MIND Institute, including: using technology and parent partnerships to deliver language therapies into the homes of individuals affected by neurodevelopmental disorders, targeted treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders using fragile X syndrome as a model, developmental changes associated with ADHD and relevance to treatment and comorbid issues, as well as sex differences in the neurobiology of autism spectrum disorder. Following the opening address, workshops will be offered in the following strands: Research, Policy and Evidence Based Practices. Presentations will cover Early Intervention, School Aged and Transition/Adult age groups.
