The Kaiser Permanente Running of the Elk is a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Fun Run that takes place in Elk Grove, CA. The event exists to encourage fitness and a healthy lifestyle while at the same time raising money for the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation youth sports scholarship fund. Benefiting the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation, this years Running of the Elk Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held April 2. Registration is open, and we are excited to bring this event to the community for 6 years 'running'!

You can also register during packet pick-up on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.   Early Registration is encouraged.  The Running Zone is located at 8260 Long Lead Drive, Elk Grove CA. Download the form and bring it with you

Registration Includes: Micro-fiber Tech shirts – Men’s and Women’s; flat and fast course; custom  finisher awards* and cool age-group awards; Disposable Chip timing courtesy of A Change of Pace; Ideal spring weather; Delicious post-race food and entertainment. * Half-Marathon finishers will receive a custom, Running of the Elk, finisher medal. * Thrive 5K/10K finishers will receive a finisher medal. On Packet Pickup  You can pick up your race packet Friday, March 31st (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.) or Saturday, April 1st  (10 am- 6 pm) at the Running Zone (8470 Elk Grove Boulevard, Elk Grove). NOTE: Pre-registered participants may pick up their race packets on Race Day as well starting at 6:30 am.
