The SMS annual children's concert is a Sacramento tradition for kids of all ages! Featuring a colorful cast of characters, "Jingle All the Way!" showcases choral music in a way both enjoyably accessible and educational to children. It's a great way for little ones to get to know and love all things choral, from concert manners--when to clap and how the audience can participate--to musical concepts such as dynamics and song styles. It also helps develop their understanding of what makes up a choir, from the conductor and the different singing parts to the accompanist. At 45 minutes, the program is designed to entertain for just the right amount of time. It ends with a "surprise" visit from everyone's favorite holiday elf, Santa Claus! The children leave with a delicious holiday candy cane in their hands and lovely music in their hearts and minds.
