As part of National Open House Week, we invite you to come visit us to learn more about Champions Before- and After-School programs. Parents and children are invited to visit the Champions program at their school to enjoy fun activities together and learn more about how before- and after-school programs extend learning beyond traditional school hours. Champions has nearly 30 years of experience supporting busy families by providing a fun and safe space where children can learn and develop outside of the traditional school day.

Their before-and after-school programs offer learning activities, homework help, healthy snacks, and fun activities geared toward grades K-8, conveniently located within the child’s school. Champions programs are nationally accredited through AdvancED, the same organization that accredits schools around the country. Event is also available in Rancho Cordova 11821 Cobble Brook Drive 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of art, music and culture on top of the Nordstrom Parking Garage. Global Local is an interactive pop-up concept designed to engage the entire family. The Global Local theme highlights the diversity of Sacramento while linking the “Global Local"community through culturally based hands-on arts activities, pop-up art exhibition and live performances.

What to Expect: 

Sol Art Labs
Participants will be supported by local artists as they create and explore a variety of unique, cultural activities. The Global Print Lab will include printmaking activities from around the world, while the Global Music lab will feature sounds from around the world via digital drum machine stations. Frida’s Studio will bring the famous Mexican painter’s studio to you! Participants will create Frida inspired master pieces while feeling like they are in her famous blue house. The Global Local Golden Geo-dome will be turned into a henna lounge.

Global Local Stage
The Global Local Stage will include a world music DJ, with music and cultural performances throughout the event.
